Bible Study Ministry

First Baptist Church Tinley Park has Bible Study each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. for all ages, birth through seniors.  Franco Lafiandra is our Bible Study Director and welcomes you to come and learn through our ongoing curriculum or become a part of the Bible Study ministry team.  To view our selection of Bible Study classes, click the Bible Study tab at left.

Evangelism Ministry

One of the stated purposes of First Baptist Church Tinley Park is to offer everyone an opportunity to be in personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Yolanda Murphy, our Evangelism/Outreach Ministry Coordinator, is continually seeking ways to present Christ to those who are seeking Him.  If you would like to know more about Christian discipleship or our church, please call and someone will be glad to visit with you.  If you would like to be involved in our outreach ministry, contact Yolanda at 708-532-3536.

Missions Ministry

We participate in missions giving through two yearly offerings:  The Lottie Moon Christmas offering for Foreign Missions and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for Home Missions.  Both of these are in cooperation with Southern Baptist Churches around the world to support our mission endeavors.  We are continually seeking opportunities to hear from missionaries as we pray for them and give to support them.

In March 2012 our Pastor and Lydia are participating in a mission trip to the Bulaleba Babies Home in Bukaleba, Uganda.  The Pastor will be preaching and repairing the buildings at the orphanage.  Lydia will be teaching children in Vacation Bible School.

Angel Tree Ministry

Blanche Chandler coordinates Angel Tree, a ministry to children and families of prisoners.  Each December the congregation purchases gifts for these designated children.  Mrs. Chandler also contacts all of the children with a gift card and greeting throughout the year on their birthdays.

Operation Christmas Child Ministry

Each November our church cooperates with Samaritan's Purse in Operation Christmas Child by purchasing and packing shoe boxes which are sent around the world to children in underpriveleged countries.
